KILLED IN ACTION
MALAYA
OCTOBER 10th 1957
Trevor Thompson was the second child of John Thompson and his wife Ida Thompson, from Scawby North Lincolnshire. He was one of six sons and three daughters. On leaving Kirton Lindsey sec school he went to work for Mr. L. G. Glugston on his Farm at Scawby.
In 1955 he was called to do his National service, age just 17 and joined the Royal
Lincolnshire Regiment. Trevor always loved animals so after training he became a
handler, working with tracker dogs. He loved being in the Army and had sent letters
home saying he was thinking of signing on to stay after his three years were up.
He wanted to work on the veterinary side as he loved working with animal.
This site is still been developed Please check back, or bookmark us, there are a lot of pictures of friends of Trevor’s taken in Malaya, if any one can put names to them, I would be very grateful
